Nova Package Design

This project began as a bid for a freelance packaging design job with a coffee company launching a new line of cold brew concentrates called Nova. Although the proposal wasn’t selected, I decided to revisit the concept as a personal project to push my design skills further and get more comfortable working in Photoshop (having primarily used Illustrator up to that point).

For the branding, I leaned into the cosmic theme suggested by the name Nova. The main logo features a hand-drawn typeface inspired by the burst and energy of a supernova, while star icons represent the coffee’s roast level. In the promotional mockups, I explored a retrofuturistic aesthetic through color, typography, and subtle grain textures to capture a sense of nostalgia and exploration.
